possibly the final beta
32 bit www.zabkat.com/test/xplorer2_setup_ult_beta.exe
64 bit www.zabkat.com/test/xplorer2_setup64_ult_beta.exe
if you are using xplorer2 to replace windows explorer can you please test if it correctly catches requests e.g. from internet explorer and chrome to "open downloaded file location" (open container folder) and select the file just downloaded
if you get the total7zip wcx plugin you will also be allowed to enter inside xplorer2 installer (!) with the new FILE > ENTER ARCHIVE menu command, cool, no?
to setup wcx plugins try the latest plugin consul v2 www.zabkat.com/test/x2PluginConsul.exe

Re: 330.11 beta released
Don't I wish - that stuff even comes with its own helpline these days. This is probably what happens when you tap into the WMI/WQL subsystem for convenience - these little overly suspicious AV's see the libraries and functions linked and say, hey, why would anyone need to do that? Let's flag it just for laughs - it's their equivalent of happy-slapping the honest man.
The source code is always freely available for those who might want to peruse/compile it themselves to check my integrity. Or, Nikos could always sign the binary with that expensive gold-plated stamp of his, considering he did commission the utility in the first place, though the cheque was mysteriously lost in the mail so I can't prove it to the revenue.

Hmm... so you did, didn't see that - maybe Avira doesn't know SHA-1 was finally (officially) broken last week, and haven't learned to embrace SHA256 yet, the laggards.

Ok, so what Irishness has been incorporated, just so that I can remove a previous similar mod to avoid conflicts, or is the installation that good that it''ll scan for the old mod and remove it ?.

Re: 330.11 beta released
Umm... no mods, it's just the x2PluginConsul, which requires no installation. Nikos threatened to leave me chained to the desk in a dark corner again if I didn't add WCX compatibility. He was also livid when I drew the line and refused to add MAX_PATH_EX compliance and thus lowered my dog-food rations to half for defying his divine and majestic will, but my poor brain just couldn't take the strain of it all anymore. Robert Frost never mentioned the penalties we lesser mortals must suffer for eschewing the long paths not taken.dunno wrote: 2017 Mar 03, 08:58...just so that I can remove a previous similar mod to avoid conflicts...

I think I now understand the Chinese proverb, "all long paths begin with short bytes".

I ran x2PluginConsul.exe through VirusTotal and Avira was the only one that flagged it.
