Folder tree does not update when CD is inserted

Dear friends of this wunderful file explorer
Since a while (about summer, which Windows 7 x64 update ?) X² folder tree with the drive letters does not display drive M (CD/DVD drive) and alos does not update when a CD/DVD is inserted into the drive.
CTRL+R (Refresh) does not help in this pane.
This is the list in the Standard Windows file explorer:

Drive M is only listed when using the Drive button:


How to get drive M into the Folder tree?

if you need empty cd drives to show up all the time use TOOLS > ADVANCED OPTIONS menu command and from GLOBAL property page tick the option "don't check for empty drives, list all in drivebar". This also affects the folder tree
