OK to exit with Alt-F4?
After 10+ years I just noticed in the menu it says the shortcut for exiting xplorer2 is Alt+X and all this time I've been exiting with Alt+F4. Does it make any difference?

when you quit with ALT+F4 xplorer2 continues to run without a window, so theoretically it starts a bit faster when you open a new window

Re: OK to exit with Alt-F4?
I'm a bit puzzled.
I close x² with Alt+x, Alt+F4 or with the window close button. All appear to work the same, x² disappears from Process Explorer. I would have expected there to have been some indication in Process Explorer if x² was still running without a window.
