xplorer2 suddenly started randomly opening up twice, i.e. two instances

Starting a few weeks ago xplorer2 suddenly started opening up twice when I open it, i.e. two windows where one of them is titled <xplorer2 [.2]>. But not every time. It's just random, maybe one in every 5 times. I was hoping it'd just go away but it's not. How do I stop it?

your hint is the folder being browsed, something must be trying to open a folder
can you get a hint from the path?
other than that, the solution would be to uninstall xplorer2 and reinstall it without ticking "replace windows explorer" option

OK thanks, will watch for something that sounds like what you're talking about. It's only done it once or twice in the last couple days and I wasn't tracking it closely.
