From the blog post:

Compare pictures side by side. Mouse peek preview is extended so that when you have two files selected you get to preview them side by side in a large popup window for easy comparison — think windiff but for thumbnail previews. Or turn on mirror browsing from Mark menu to compare same name files left and right in dual pane mode.

There is no such option in the Pro version. Does it only apply to the Ultimate version?

How do you setup a shortcut key, please?

first see where this command is mentioned in HELP > WHAT'S NEW menu command
to setup a keyboard shortcut, use CUSTOMIZE > KEYBOARD menu command, switch to Miscellaneous category, find this command number, then assign your preferred keyboard shortcut

Thanks. I found it now. It wasn't under changes for v5.3.0.2 though.
