Being the German translator for Similarity, I am probably just as biased as you are - but having "no video files" as a negative point when comparing duplicate music scanners is an interesting decision... another Similarity non-issue is:

No filters or automatic duplicate marking

My duplicates usually have good reasons, except if they don't. Automatically marking duplicates would be weird - how would Similarity decide which one I'd like to keep?

where did I say similarity doesn't do videos? And at any rate if a program does music AND videos, then it's an advantage, no?

Not every feature is an advantage per se. My bike can’t cook, it still is a better bike than others.

In theory, yes. Be aware that my Windows usage has declined though, so I’m not quite as ready all the time anymore than back in the day.
