Darkening of the panels during file operations
I must say, I'm not a fan of this option being turned on by default. Maybe this is me, but most of my file operations are quick and this blinking of grey is rather annoying.
I'm using Xplorer2 - the only file manager that does not suck. Actually, it rocks!

it only appears for delete file operations
anyway you can disable it from advanced options (search for SHADING)
