Double-click tabs to close?

Hey guys,

I'm enjoying x2 Pro 6, but even though I copied over my v.5 settings, I see that double-clicking tabs no longer closes them.

I'm quite used to doing this, so is there a way I can reenable it? I've searched x2's settings and the forum here, but couldn't find any references to it. Thanks!

use TOOLS > ADVANCED OPTIONS menu and search for the mainframe option "middle mouse button doesn't close tab" and make sure it isn't ticked

However, a double-click is something completely different from pressing the mouse wheel.
I do acknowledge that it was different back when most mice, including my first, still had a simple button in the middle.

The option is actually called "Middle Mouse Button Doesn't close tab (or double-click)"

In other words, awkward wording aside, that option when checked disables both. Just tried it to make sure. I didn't even know D-click did that... I live in a Single-Click activation world so double-clicking anything (except the dual-pane separator) is anathema to me. Middle-Mouse button is my favourite standard, not least as it double-duties as <Ctrl+Click> for multi-selection. Mice are great things, even if now they too can spy on us (the mechanical kind, not just musmusculous). Is nothing safe anymore?

Let's just say: there are reasons why I decided to de-digitise my life a bit a few years ago. A fountain pen doesn't spy on my prose, and the assumption that an automatic watch, which by its very nature doesn't even have an electric battery, could remotely tell some villain my approximate whereabouts would be a bit too far-fetched, even for me – and I'm quite partial to making the odd outlandish assumption when it serves the drama.
