Single Click File Selection

I'm not able to select a filename without selecting the extension. Before I installed v.6 I could single click on the filename and select it without the extension selected. Check file Explorer and the filename select works. I have the option "full row selection" set to "no". I can't find any other options that would seem to control the behavior. Please, advise.

you need TOOLS > ADVANCED OPTIONS menu and in there find the option called "F2 selects full filename" (and turn it off)
