preview webp

Hi,
In the "Preview" panel, I have previews for several file formats, but not WEBP.
However, the preview works in the Scrap.
Is it possible to have it in the "Preview" panel? I assume it's not the same preview, but it would be nice if it were available in the panel.

webp works in DRAFT preview tab, but not in NATIVE, go figure
