translation of xplorer2
"it is very hard to translate 2xExplorer in any language, hence the emptiness of this section. When I start writing the new generation 2xExplorer² I promise to keep ethnic issues high on my agenda!" says Nikos. Does xplorer2 support translations? Thanks again.

xplorer2 will read translations from files or it will be build in that language. I think that the files needed for translation showld be released because while the gui progresses the translators can update their work and when the gui if finished the translation will be finished too.
Good work! Expecting the betas

translations will only be considered after the english version is fully out or at late beta stages (same goes for the installer).
The process will be similar to ed2's translation, for those that are aware of it: I'll send you the resource (RC) file and you'll use developer studio or similar to edit it. Then a completely separate version will be built out of it
another option would be to have all the language specific code in a DLL and ship all translations together; during installation users can select a language.

I think I like the later option better, since it is easier to customize dll files.
I again and again amazed how, eg.: Opera Software manages to have so many parts of their program in easily modifiable files - I think developers should learn from that.
As for your plan to start working on the translating bits not before the final beta - we shall wait - though we don't like...
Na - keep up the good work!

The latest beta is very coooool, but I would like to begin translating it soon. My reason is simple: the first non beta release could have support for multiple languages.
