"Debug Assertion Failed"

I'm sure I saw this on the alphas. Just thought I'd mention it now.
I'm getting an assertion on startup each time. I can hit "Ignore" and continue using the application with no problems.

I think I've seen mention of this before, but cannot find reference to an exact problem match either.

As a guess, there has been a report of small conflict between old registry key organisation and the newer arrangement with some param's moved to a global key extension.
In one case deleting the xplorer2 key [HKCU\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\xplorer2] after quitting all instances of x2, and then restarting x2 fixed the problem (You can try that if you are comfortable tweaking the register; but you may want to wait for nikos to interpret the dbmon output in the morning).

this error would suggest you have a "funny" registry key beginning with "xplorer2" but not followed by . or _ that would make it valid. Probably you made some manual edits?

Heh. That's right. I left my old settings in there .... i just renamed the key to "xplorer2alpha" ... my bad
