Hi!
I use TSVN (explorerintegrated frontend to subversion) wich installs some columnhandlers. The columnhandlers are only visible in directories under TSVN-control.
The Problem: xplorer² seems to scan for columnhandlers only on startup. I have to start in a TSVN-directory to see the TSVN-columnhandlers in the column cutomizing-dialog (Alt+K).
Possible solution: Scan for columnhandlers on opening column cutomizing-dialog.

caching filesystem columns is one of the many shortcuts x2 makes for increased speed and performance. If there are many other extensions like the one you mention i'll have a rethink
a workaround for the time being is whenever you are in a tortoise folder and you realize that you don't have the columns you need, just clone an instance with ctrl+N; that will get its own columns, including the extra ones

I'm a user of TortoiseSVN too. For me, the clone trick doesn't work. The SVN columns only appear if the program is opened showing a SVN directory. Maybe I have a setting wrong.
Regarding the overlays, the only file manager (besides explorer) I know of that shows the overlays is A43. But I tend to rely on the columns more than the overlays anyway.
Rick.
