problem with saved folder settings and a suggestion
im not sure if this has been addressed already, but i did a quick glance through and didnt see it mentioned. I have my default pane style to be in details mode. However, i have my images folder saved to have thumbnail view in place. Now if i have images folder currently open in a pane, close xplorer, and reopen it, it will display correctly with my images folder in thumbnail view, and the other pane thats not in the image folder will be details, but if i up out of my images folder, the settings will still be in thumbnail mode and ill have to switch it back to details. I know i could simply set the root folder outside images to be saved as details, but that would be alot of folders to set to details to compensate for the images folder. Maybe an option for default pane view could be an easy fix, ensuring all folders without seperate saved settings would default to that view style. That also brings me to another suggestion in the same area. Do you think there could be either an option, or an extra menu command, to save folder settings recursively. The reason being is that my images folder, which i prefer to have in thumbnails view, has many subfolders, and right now i would have to go through each of the subfolders and save their settings individually. Im pretty sure most people would organize their images folder in a similiar fashion, so it would be really useful. Thanks for listening

what you observe when exiting the program is a slight glitch. The easy workaround is to avoid leaving x2 on a customized folder
the recursive property is a good idea. Probably it will develop in a more generic paste command that will allow you to paste file(s) -- or hard links thereof -- in all subfolders. So for example you could paste desktop.ini from your main folder to all subfolders, giving them the same settings in an instant!

sounds good to me
... And yea ive gotten in the habit of simply making sure im not in an images folder when im exiting the program. but sometimes after a long intense day of coding when my brain is mushy it passes me by. And even though it takes not even a second to fix, the program would just rule even more than it already does if it saved me that second. i know there are more important things to be coding, so theres no urgency or anything, but seeing it take care of that eventually on its own would definitely be sweet, but i get the impression that that was your plan anyway. As far as the recursive property, however you plan to eventually implement it works for me
. The method you mentioned sounds just fine.
