hello nikos, in details view, if you have a bunch of folders like
My Vacation.001
Resume v1.1
etc,
x2 will show "001" and "1" in the "ext" column for these folders. This is not needed and looks confusing. "ext" should be reserved exclusively for files, no?
folders do not need "extensions"

If I'm not mistaken, that's a Windows 'feature' which interprets the portion of any filename after the last 'dot' in the name as its 'extension' (whether or not it's a 'registered' extension).
x2 is just reporting what the Windows shell tells it.
If you dont want to see the extensions column, just remove it from the details view with the 'Columns selector' tool (Alt+K).
(& You can replace that column with 'Type[S]' to make x2 look like Explorer, if you wish. )

hmm
well... there is a ShellEx for explorer called CPExt

and it works the "correct" way, not showing extensions for folders. Its no big deal, but if possible would be a nice fix.
