Rename files

Notice that when I click and highlight in the left tree box the rename function works but in the window pane it doesn't. Is there a setting for this?

I suspect you have Allow slow double click to rename items turned OFF (the default) on the Window tab of the Tools | Options... menu.
It's an undocumented 'feature' that you can still rename items in the tree pane with that setting.

FYI, I find it fastest to rename an item via F2 (no waiting for slow second click to activate, or bother with scrolling down the r-click context menu to the rename choice.)

so, if that's the way you would rather rename items in the filepane(s), then turn that feature ON.

btw -- Clicking on a selected item (a half-second or longer after having selected it) is what is meant by slow double click -- even though the selection may have been made using keyboard navigation & not by mouse-click.
