Internal Editor / Viewer is slow
When I try to view a big file (1 meg and up) or do a search and replace in that file, it takes a long time to do that.

Editor2 is not the fastest app in the world, but it is free.
Yet, it took me only 3-4 seconds to load a 11MB text file in E2 using F4 key from x2Lite1.0.0.92[DBG] {& from 1.0.0.3Lite it was 1-2 secs}
S&R a string near end of file took maybe half a sec.
That's not too shabby -- even if I do have another pro app that's too fast to time for the same file.
added later for perspective with a slower machine:
The above was with a 2GHz P4 cpu running winXP.
Times for the same 11 MB file with 400MHz P2 cpu running win98 are:
30 seconds to load & 10-15 seconds for S&R with Editor²
(in contrast, my pro app is almost measurable on w98: 0.2 secs to load, but too fast to measure S&R time).
So, depending on the horsepower you have at hand, your observation is quite true -- but, then again, what do expect for nothing?
