Drop down boxes enhancement
I was using the drop down box to return to a directory I was using yesterday and start typing with \\ and was expecting this IE behaviour of showing after a second the possibilities which fit the begin charachters. And in IE it is possible to use the cursor keys to select one of the values. Is it possible to add this behaviour to xplorer2?

x2 has 2 forms of autocompletion; one with F1 key is similar to what you know in IE (although it won't work with the root \\, only after \\pc\share).
the other one is with the up-arrow: type any part of the path you want to fetch from the history and you'll get it. See the tips & tricks for more info

Wim,
If you have visited the folder recently enough (I mean it still has to be in the X² history chain), you can even do this better than in IE!!
Just type any part of the location you want to go to (preferably some part which uniqueliy identifies it, because you will get less hits that way) and just hit the up-arrow. X² will search the history chain for a match and present the first match to you in the address bar. If you didn't specify the location using a unique enough sequence and get the wrong result, just keep hitting up-arrow to cycle through all matching items.
Nice isn't it
[Edit:add]Damn, Nikos, you beat me to it once again :x [/Edit]

Up-arrow, I was tried several keys, including F1 (I remembered this key), down arrow and others, but not up-arrow. Ok, I'll remember this.
If this is better then IE? I don't know? Sometimes I hate its behaviour, but I did like the automatic dropdown after typing some characters.....

Well, it is a matter of taste obviously, but in X² you can specify any part of the path or url you are trying to get back to!! Try that in IE! That's limited to typing from the start!WimdeLange wrote:[...]If this is better then IE? I don't know? That's the main reason I find it 'better'
