I recently started using xplorer2 after getting so annoyed at explorer that I kind of, disabled it... permanently. I love the program it's great and all but I've run into a problem. I'm not sure if it's me or the program however.
I didn't really like how bright my PC monitor was, so I have windows colors basically inverted. I use white text on a black/grey background, as it really should be. But in xplorer2 the folder panes don't change colors properly. The font turns to white nicely but the backgroudn stays white, creating a bit of a problem.
I found a setting for inactive pane color in settings and changed that to dark grey, though it hardly helps as I use only one pane. The setting also changes back immediately.
Is there a way to make it use the windows color for the folder panes properly or is this a bug-type thing?
Either way, thanks for the cool program.

ok, the folder paint should work too but...
it uses the standard system "window" color (COLOR_WINDOW). Whichever way you changed your color scheme must have left this color out to its old whitish value)
for win2000 you would pick it from desktop's display properties (appearance tab) -> select the window "item". Windows XP allow a similar tweaking but you have to click some advanced button
the inactive folder pane is easy, you just pick any color you want from tools | options

I don't know why but it's displaying the correct colors now. My pc crashed and i had to reboot, and now it's fine. That's strange because I did reboot previously and that didn't fix it. Now it even updates the colors when I don't reboot too. So I'm willing to chalk it up to windows being stupid and doing something screwy.
Thanks for the help.
