Case sensitive search tool

Post by PhD »

Each time I make a "find search", the "case sensitive" is on, and I have to unmark it each time.

What can I do to have it off by default ?

Thanks.

Each time you reuse the search tool, x2 will preload settings which were used previously.

Because the "case sensitive" setting only applies to text being searched within files, I suspect you were not searching for text inside files; but you simply unchecked that box before searching with other criteria.
And, since that setting was never actually used, the default was left as-is (even though you changed it) .

If you do search for text within files, you should find that the setting will be properly updated.

Probably have to have 'Save settings on exit' enabled to make these settings stick too :) (or do a manual 'Save settings now')
Dumb questions are the ones that are never asked :turn:

to fgagnon

it's true that case sensitive only applies to text within file search. I apologize.

Thanks.
