stop xplorer^2 treating .zip as folder

Lo folks,
I've unregistered the .zip-as-folder dll, but xplorer^2 still treats .zip files as folders.

The .zip filetype is registered to winzip and they work as exptected in windows explorer (ie calling winzip to open them).

Any ideas how to get xplorer^2 to treat .zip files as files, and not folders?

how did you unregister the dll?
did you follow this FAQ (#25) instructions?

another one is to make sure that the "open" verb is default for zips so that the winzip association is launched

Yes, thats how I unregistered the dll.
Open is the default action for .zip files.

Any other ideas?

in your registry is your HKCR\.zip pointing to CompressedFolder?
try deleting the CLSID key from that; or better rename it to 1CLSID or something

I've fixed the problem now, though, I'm not exactly sure how...
I re-registered the dll, and renamed it (and the backup versions in dllcache etc). I then rebooted, and unregistered the dll. I then rebooted, and registered winrar as the .zip handler program. Then, I registered winzip as the .zip handler program. End result - fixed.
