While looking at some drivers, I just happened to notice that Xplorer2 shows version numbers for .DRV files in its version column, but leaves that column empty for files of the more common .VXD type (that usually do have version numbers).
Is there a way to tell Xplorer2 for which extensions it should look for a version number?
