open a shortcut to folder in active pane?

According to the user manual, I created a favorites folder and added some links to folder, then clicked on the link to open the folder in the active folder pane. It works in Windows XP pro.
But in Windows 2000, the folder is opened in a new explorer windows, not in xplorer2 window.
Any idea?

turn on the little arrow icon for shortcuts. It works
