2X fails after installing OfficeXP

Been using 2XExplorer for years. After installing OfficeXP, I launch 2X but it just pops up for a second, then closes itself. Same thing happens with Xplorer2 lite. After removing OfficeXP, both 2X and X2 worked again. No error messages anywhere on either program.
Anyone else have this problem?

I've been using 2xExplorer (and x2, and later x2-Pro & Lite) all successfully with Office XP installed. (But I had OfficeXP before the 2x/x2 products.)

try deleting 2x's registry key and run again
