Editor2 ICON

I think Xplorer2 needs an Editor2 ICON on the tool bar that will open a file in the edit mode with one mouse click. Using File and then Edit does it but that requires two mouse clicks. F3 opens a file in a non-edit mode which I find of no value.

I looked at the professional version and it is the same as the lite version.

A43, which is an inferior product compared to Xplorer2, has this feature.

I find nothing in the 219 page manual about Editor2. It seems to be a forgotten child.

F4 opens the selected file for editing in Editor2 (unles you have specified another editor to use under Tools | Options... | General

PS: it's easy to toggle Editor2 between View & Edit modes with F6

the latest installer for v1.2 optionally puts an icon to ed2 in the quicklaunch bar
