I really like xplorer, but it's one weak point as far as I'm concerned is it's limited bookmark abilities.

I used DOpus for awhile and got spoiled with it's bookmark features.

So along with saying a really like the product, I would like to submit my wish list of bookmark changes.

If anyone knows a workaround for any of these, please let me know.
I deal with copying code between 8 servers, each with a training and production environments.

1. An option to remove the folder icon and 0-9 item numbers.
Maybe I just don't understand their importance. My bookmark list is full,
so they just muddy the list.

2. Sub folders or branches.

3. Ability to add a bookmark by editing. If I know the UNC path I should be able to add it, even if I'm not connected to the network.

The User Manual describes how to have unlimited bookmarks which can be arranged in any hierarchy (make subfolders as desired and move the shortcuts into them).

1. An option to remove the folder icon and 0-9 item numbers
i take it you mean the bookmark menu system. The numbers are for keyboard access, and the icons signify that you can place the first 10 bookmarks on any toolbar. See the customization section of the quickstart guide for more info

(for #2 see narayan's response)
3. Ability to add a bookmark by editing
you can do that by adding any bookmark (e.g. on the folder you are browsing) and then changing the path using Bookmarks | Organize. This way you can even add filenames (!) if need be

that's how x2 works. It looks a bit cryptic at times but it is based on a small number of elementary processes and tweaks. With a little thinking you can figure your way out of anything, a bit like lara croft of tomb raider fame :)
