Howdy:

2xExplorer is the best there is--many thanks for it. Issue: I'm trying to get 2xExplorer to open using alternate startup options (from different registry settings) and open to a particular directory. But I can't seem to do it. For example, can you explain why the following doesn't work (it--like all other variations with different directories--opens showing my desktop directory)?

"C:\Program Files\2xExplorer_Z1b\2xExplorer_Z1b.exe" c:\temp /s:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\2xExplorerOTHER

The registry key name:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\2xExplorer

Is added automatically by 2xExplorer, so try using:

"C:\Program Files\2xExplorer_Z1b\2xExplorer_Z1b.exe" c:\temp /s:OTHER

And see if that works (It works OK with 2xExplorer 1.3.1.12).

Thanks for your help. I've got it working now. It turns out it's also important to UNcheck the option to "save settings on exit"--the combination of naming the whole registry key and saving settings on exit appears to have been responsible for the creation of multiple keys. It works now though, Thanks again.
