can't see memory stick

Hi folks,

I was just helping my daughter set up her new laptop. Among other things we were using a memory stick to shuttle some files between the two computers. xplorer^lite did not see the memory stick, so I had to revert to using Windows Explorer. Both machines are on Win XP Home, sp2.

what if you typed the memory stick's path (e.g. F:\ )in the addressbar?

Hi. I'm sorry, I was confused last night. It was a different part of our transfer that didn't show up in xplorer^2. I pulled her hard drive out of her Win 98 box and substituted it for my 2nd hard drive so we could transfer files, and surprisingly it didn't show up in xp^2. Refresh didn't help - though it shouldn't matter since this was after a reboot. Windows Explorer had no trouble seeing the drive.

The drive in question was an IBM Deskstar.

i have made some fixes regarding refreshing "my computer" that should fix such issues in the next version

i bet that if you quit/restarted x2 the drive would show (?)

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. It's too late to test it this time, as the drive is back in her computer and gone from my house.
