Renaming in the batch

I have multiple files and folders that I need to rename, All I need to do is delete a couple of characters at the beginning of each folder, is there a command that you can add to the batch creator that tells it to delete the first 9 letters?
Any Help would be greatly apreciated

the batch generator does not support any commands for removing characters from base names

looks like you need a more powerful purpose-build renamer application
