Windows shortcut arrows

Post by zippit »

I'm a 99 % user of 2x.Best thing since Winfile was unuseable.
Is there a way to remove shortcut arrows in 2x ?
I now have XP,but don't recall them with 98 or WMe.
I can't locate an option with XP.
Thanks nikos for the best free software on the Internet.

I'm not sure what arrows you mean.

(guessing...) If it is backward/forward in history arrows, I think they are an inseparable part of the addressbar toolbar (View | Toolbars | Adddresbar).

I don't have any other arrows on my 2x installation on winXP.

You need Tweakui to remove these from Windows Explorer Not IExplorer but they are still in 2x Panes.

oh, you mean the icon overlays.
I haven't tried to remove them as I find they serve as a useful reminder to distinguish a shortcut from the file itself.  There is probably a way to disable it -- I just don't know it.

experimenting ... I see what you mean.
The TweakUI changes for icon shortcut overlays are not honored by 2x.
Further, I note that they ARE honored by x2 - both Lite and Pro.

I use view list or details mostly, just curious.
But the split pane is really it's best option.I think Explorer makes
working with file movement much more difficult as reported on other forums.I suggest 2x and x2 but don't usually get responce.
I recently moved my 20 gb of mp3's to my new hard drive partition.
It was a breeze,thanks.
