slim... i don't know anything about linux programming
the pity is that linux (KDE at least) has a file manager that is worse than windows explorer, if that's imaginable! so it desperately needs an improvement. But for (my) rare visits to linux, midnight commander is ok
i doubt whether any of the existing 2x code can be ported to linux anyway, i don't imagine that KDE has a COM model similar to the shell namespace in windows.
