Importing Settings From XP to Vista

I just got a machine with windows Vista. Can I import the reg settings from my XP machine into the Vista registry?

IMO, it would be probably more trouble than it's worth, unless you are certain that the file structure is the same as prior machine for all references.
Tracking down and correcting the new path references will likely take more time than just setting things up afresh.

but other than paths everything else can be exported with Actions | Export settings; then you take the REG file to vista and presto
