It it possible to redirect all clicks in the Tree ..

.. to a specific pane? This way one can/could retain a pane dedicated solely to ones most used locations via tabs and have the other one for ordinary browsing without having to manually select the correct pane each and every time I need to use the Tree! Anyways, just an idea.. though of course I hope xplorer2 makes it possible 8)

the tree sends folders to the active pane. To change the inactive pane hold down <alt> key while clicking

Thanks for your quick reply nikos - so this means that setting the tree to permanently open folders in, say the left pane, is not possible?

correct; you can only use <alt> key control the destination
