Lite version beeps on windows search

I have been using the Lite version for a while. Recently I selected do not alert me regarding the lite version using Windows Search. Since then when I try to do a search all the XP Pro computer does is beep. In other words the search function is dead! Uninstalling xplorer2 lite fixed the search problem. Is this a known problem?

a. It's a known feature that x2 Lite uses the Windows search tool.

b. I cannot reproduce the issue you report where:
opting to not be notified of (a.) that Windows search does not start.
(i.e. Windows search starts normally for me in either case.)

Checked with x2 Lite v1.7.0.5 on XP Pro with SP2.

the question is, does your windows search work?

I reinstalled xplorer2 and the Windows search function appears.
