I am trying to zip up all the files and folders in a directory. I select them all, then right-click on them and select "Send to|Compressed folder".
It starts zipping up a few files, then stops with the error, "Cannot create output file."
If I try to do the same thing from Windows Explorer while xplorer2 is still open, the same thing happens. However, if I close xplorer2 and repeat the process in Windows Explorer, it works.
Cannot create output file.

this sounds like a weird cock-up but it is unlikely it's caused by any direct xplorer2 issues, it's more like the way the shell is interacting with xplorer2
to be honest i don't even have Send to|Compressed folder in that menu. However if you have winzip or 7zip, and use the corresponding shell submenu (instead of sendTo) i don't think you'll have problems
another possibility is to create an empty zip file and drag-drop the contents you want added on it

I'm wondering if there's some sort of recursing issue, where xplorer sees the zip file as it is being created and tries to add it to the zip file?
It's interesting that the problem continues to occur until I close xplorer.
I have IzArc, but I can't use it because the destination application barfs on any zip file that it thinks is different from its own idea of the zip standard.
Does xplorer have any built-in way to create a zip file?
