if you like the x2 toolbar and you use firefox can you please try this new installer and let me know if it works?
www.zabkat.com/xplorer2_liteTB_setup_test.exe
i don't think it will work for FF 3.1 beta but it should work for 3 (I tested). Any people with older FF versions I would be interested to see if it works!
thanks
ps. the new toolbar should have version 1.5.48.2 (from its About menu)
improved firefox installer

It does not install properly with FF 3.0.7 (mini-beta) on XP/sp3
{v3.0.6 is the current released version & 3.1.x is the next version beta}.
With FF running, the former version [1.5.48.0] remains active until restarting FF.
Upon restart, the x2 toolbar does not appear, nor is it on the toolbar list from r-click menubar.
But x2 toolbar 1.5.48.2 is listed as installed under Tools | Add-ons.
The bummer for me is that now I have to re-enter all email notifier data for each account when I get the toolbar back. :(

Later I realized that having made a copy of my FF profile last week, I could successfully revert by copying back both the CT1682967 folder and the Extensions folder - no data re-entry required!

why did you lose your email data?
I saw what you say the first time i tried the toolbar (it remained hidden) but i think it was because it coincided with FF doing one of its automatic updates to 3.0.6. Next time i tried it, it worked fine.
conduit are working for FF v3.1 and they told me the compatible toolbar will be available soon

@ why -
I assumed data would need to be re-entered because the toolbar had vanished -- even though it said it was installed. Rather than messing around with an apparent failed installation, I reverted to the previous version with its settings intact.
You say the toolbar remained hidden for you the first time you tried it. What did you do to make it appear?
