In many of free file explorers, it is possible to unpack an archive using a shortcut (like Alt+F6 in Total Commander), with an option to unpack to the same or the opposite pane. Is it possible to get that option in xplorer2 lite?
xplorer2 doesn't have a wide choise of unpackers but if you install something like 7-zip then you get a lot of commands in the right-click context menu with options to unpack archives
Yes, I am aware of that - as a matter of fact, I've been using Windows' standard unpacking utility. However, being a "keyboard" man, , I was looking for a way to unpack files with a keyboard shortcut.
one way to do this in xplorer2 is to assign an external user command to 7-zip executable with the required command line options to unpack the selection ($N) then assign a keyboard shortcut to it or/and a toolbar icon. But for this you need the professional version see Customize menu
