Any chance of a version with optional quadrants (4 panes) anytime? I know it would probably take some major UI work but it would be very nice

Feature Request - Quad-Pane
As much as I love xplorer2, I could use another feature. Specifically, quadrants. I have 2 internal drives, 7 external drives, plus my HTC Touch connected by bluetooth which consists of 2 more drives (device memory & SD Card) for a total of 11 different drives to manage. 2 panes just seems so limiting!

for those of us with very high-res screens and too many drives to shake a stick at.

While I have usually 6-8 drives running not counting network shares,
I only operate between two at any one time, so dual-pane is ideal:
less screen clutter, more visibility, etc.
It's easy enough to switch to any other drive(s) with

bookmarks,
folder groups and
mini scrap pane.
(and the drive bar, which I hardly use)

Re: Feature Request - Quad-Pane
tabs allow n panes
if you have more than 2 visible panes there's no way to specify which two are linked for synchronization

Re: Feature Request - Quad-Pane
I wanted four panes enough that I wrote an AutoHotkey program to dock two Windows windows (left-right or top-bottom) and keep them docked through resizing, moving, minimizing, and alt-tab window-order flipping. Added another AutoHotkey program to start up Xplorer2 with two windows in this mode. Works ncely for the times I need four related windows. (Normally I just open more instances of Xplorer2, typically having five or more lying around, but the organization imposed by the quad windows helps.)
One reason this works for me, though, is that I am a minimalist so, in the top-bottom configuration, there is not a whole lot of stuff between the two docked copies of Xplorer2. (The blemish in the top window titlebar is an accident of my image-snipping work.) This is Windows 7 (with tuned system display parameters); looks similar on Windows 8.1 (tuned similarly); no idea what it would look like on Windows 10.
