Opening folders on Desktop

I have some folders on my Desktop and I would prefer that when I double click on the "folder icon", Xplorer2 does *not* open the folder.  Instead, I would like to folder icon to expand to it's normal size.

Is there a setting for this?

in that case just disable the "explorer replacement" mode so that folders open in windows explorer. The ways to achieve this are described here:
