Default folder in second pane when switching to dual pane

If I change from single pane view to dual pane view, the default folder that opens in the second pane seems to be the folder that was open the last time dual pane view was active. Is there any way of changing this default setting? I would much prefer the second pane to open by default as a clone of the first pane.

If this is possible in the Pro version but not the lite version, I would certainly consider changing over.

both the 1st and 2nd pane reopen on the folders last used. If you want to start with particular folders then use command line options to tell xplorer2 which folders to load when it starts (see http://zabkat.com/x2h_7.htm section Optional command line arguments)

the professional version gives you more control. Instead of just a single folder you can supply a folder group name in the command line so that you open a set of tabs left and right (see Customize > Folder groups menu)

FWIW, a years-ago consensus of users was to overwhelmingly prefer the new pane to open where it had last been used.  
But you can easily switch to same location as first pane via
menuitem: Go to | Same folder  (Ctrl+I)
... especially convenient for keyboard users to create the second pane and switch it to first pane location with the sequence Ctrl+[O,I], given that O and I are adjacent keys on QWERTY keyboard.  ;)
