Viewing of sorting direction on column head

(apologies if this has been covered previously - cant find it with search)

Is there any plan to show the sorting direction in the column head (f.e. with a small arrow up or down)?

I know that it is yet shown on the icon bar, but i think it is quicker to see it on the column head (especially when you click on it to change the sorting direction).
