Network Logon - no popup dialog box
I'm using Vista Home Premium and just installed Xplorer2 lite. When I arrived at work today with my notebook computer and attempted to use a shortcut to log on to a shared network drive, Xplorer2 took me to my C: drive, and there was no popup dialog for me to logon to the network. Before installing Xplorer2 (and choosing the option that enables Xplorer2 to take over system commands for drives and folders), when I clicked on my shortcut, Vista would pop up a dialog box asking me to log in. Is there some way to get Explorer2 to do the same thing (that is, to prompt me for my logon credentials)?

Yes, it's not a problem logging on to the network as such. I can do that manually by typing the path (e.g. \\network\work_drive) into the address bar of Xplorer2. When I do that, I get the log-on dialog box, and proceed normally. The problem occurs when using a shortcut, or a script. So if I define a shortcut as \\network\work_drive, when I clicked on that shortcut in the past (that is, before making Xplorer2 my default folder application), and if I had not previously been logged in to \\network, then I'd get a log-on dialog box. I'd log on, and would go directly to the address from the shortcut. Now, however, I don't get the log-on dialog box; instead, Xplorer2 just opens to my C: drive.
So I'm wondering if there's some way to tweak the registry, or if there's some switch in Xplorer2's options which will tell Xplorer2 to bring up the log-on dialog box whenever a user attempts to access a shared resource which is on a network requiring logging-on.
