As an addendum, the manufacturer of the above, WarMouse [that's the company name], is exploring the implementation of their product into various niche markets, not just as a dedicated OOo gimmick (don't know if 'gimmick' is the correct word for it, but nothing else comes to mind at the moment).

Of particular interest is this AI War forum topic where the creator of the game is in talks with WarMouse over making possible profiles for it - the discussion elicits some interesting details about the mouse and it's envisioned purpose outside of so-called "serious" applications.

(AI War is a somewhat niche, verging on hardcore, 4X-RTS indie game, for those who pay attention to such things. Yeah, ok, that's a plug, but a topical one.
