OS: Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2003
Hardware: Multiple machines
When I attach an external USB drive, Windows maps it using a drive letter (such as F: ).
When I use xplorer2 Lite to open/read the drive, then close X2, and try to "stop" the drive (Safely remove hardware), Windows shows an error message saying "Problem ejecting USB mass storage device. The device cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it". X2 has been closed and is not in memory (I looked in the Task Manager). The only way to use the USB device is to simply pull it out of the machine (unsafe) or log out/in of the system.
However, if I use the regular Windows Explorer to access the device, and then close Windows Explorer, the device ejects/stops successfully with no error message.
Any idea on why this would happen with X2 Lite?
TIA.

I don't have set x2 to replace WE, but without this I made the following experience:
If I open a new tab to show and browse a removable drive and close this tab, I can securely remove the removable drives without the need to close x2 completely. This is reproducible at 100%. Perhaps this tip does help.
