Virus in xplorer2_liteTB_setup.exe (1.7.2.7 [Ansi] LITE) ?

Hi,

The virus scan results of xplorer2_liteTB_setup.exe (v1.7.2.7 [Ansi] LITE) at www.virustotal.com shows 2 AntiVirus engines flagging it as malware W32/OnlineGames.A.gen!Eldorado. Could this be a false positive?

i think this is from xplorer2 toolbar, which is benign too so yes, it's a false positive

Thanks for the clarification. Any chance of fixing whatever in the toolbar that is triggering the virus alert? Thought it'll tarnish the reputation of xplorer2 if it's associated with any virus at all, even if it's a false positive.

i have contacted the toolbar people and they claim that it is a fault of virustotal.com not updating their virus definitions. If you try the latest version of the engine that gives the false alert it will be clear
