folder and file re-ordering

Am using x2 1.7.2.7 [Ansi] LITE on three computers, all Windows 7 .

The one thing I want to turn OFF is having x2 keep re-ordering my folder and file lists. I have to keep re-alphabetizing them. I have gone to Options and tried turning on Automatically re-sort contents after move. I have turned it off also. Neither way makes a difference.

I would prefer the way Windows does sort. Am I missing something.

there is a more recent version to download
why don't you click on the NAME column and have xplorer2 automatically sort your contents alphabetically?

thanks for the reply.

Basically what you suggest I do is the only way I have found to get my items alphabetical. BUT, I have to do this everytime I copy or move, or reopen x2. It always takes that one extra click on the name column to resort it.

What I don't understand is why x2 re-sorts things out of alphabetical order requiring me to have to click once again on the name column. :(

probably you are not saving settings on exit, use Actions > Save settings now after you sort by name
