Bookmarks in toolbar

I like the idea of tabs for quick access to folders though I believe this has already been ruled out for future development.
Would it therefore be possible to have a customisable toolbar with the ability to include named bookmarks on it for single-click access to certain folders?

customizable toolbars are in the plan but left for the latest stage when the functionality is all in place

also note that with the window listing Ctrl+W command you can have many x2 windows open and easily switch between them just as if you had "tabs" -- sort of!
