execute more than 1 file

Post by joeking »

This is my original command
> "C:\Program Files\TextPad 4\textpad.exe" $F

How can I select more than 1 file so that textpad can load them (not just 1 by 1)?

and the next question is 'How do I send a file to the running window of Mozilla Firebird so that it opens it in the running instance (the focused tab) and not a new instance/window"

I think that would be a Mozilla/Firefox issue.

Even though it's OT for this forum ...
maybe some gnuzilla registry hacker has a tweak to share for
HCR\FirefoxHTML\shell\open\command or other appropriate words of wisdom. ;)

The following does not answer your question, I know... Just some related thoughts:

When Multizilla is installed, Mozilla provides a facility to control tabs/windows behavior. I don't know if FireFox has a similar facility...

If everything else fails, you could drag-n-drop the file (via taskbar) to any of the tabs.

Nice sleuthing, joeking.

& thanks for sharing the answer to your own question.

... Although it hadn't bothered me to get a new browser window from clicking a URL, now that I've installed Tabbrowser Preferences and have options to choose from, I find that I like a variation of your preference - i.e.: open URLs in a new tab in existing Firefox window. :)
