Cannot create new folders under xplorer2 lite 1302

Post by Ulrich Pamp »

Hi there,

I cannot create new folders under 1302. An errormessage appears down left saying not possible to create new objects. Going back to 1201 all is ok. Tried this out for three times - always the same. I'm using W98.

Yes, I used F8 und I did a reboot.
Unstall and install 1201 - all was ok. This cycle I tried a few times. Always the same result. With version 1302 F8 does not function.

I`m getting exactly the same problem, using windows XP. I tried reboot and runas with other admin account and rights. Nothing. Same error message . All other versions works fine.

Try changing disks and folders: Does it happen in all disks/folders or only in some places?

I got the same problem with the german version 1.3.0.2, after removing the files x2t_german.dll and x2t_deDE.dll and doing a reboot i can create folders again.

x2t_deDE.dll is a very old translation and could be the culprit
try reinstalling with the new translation dll (using the installer)
does it work properly?

Thanks to Niko and wm44 for the good hints to troubleshooting.
I delete the x2t_german.dll - 12.11.2004 - 120832 kB and it runs.
Normally I use only English versions, but probably I was a little bit confused by the Installation.  :D

Deleting all files in the x2-directory and reinstallation solved the problem.

Thanks for a good program and outstanding support.

It seems so. I installed the new version about the "old". I dont make an uninstall or delete any files before the installation of 1.3.0.2

i just tried it and it works properly (at least wrt F8 command)
each time you install a new version you'll have to remember to select your language too, else the old dll will be used with problems like those you observed
