xplorer2 v1.8.0.12 had been working fine, but today it crashes on startup with this error:
The instruction at "0x059bcfa0" referenced memory at "0x059bcfa0". The memory could not be "written".
It happens every time.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
mike

Silliness? What silliness? Back when Nikos issued the beta it used to make Strawberry ice cream as well, but that stuff wreaked havoc with my optical drive (think: Peanut Butter & VCR's don't mix), so it had to be removed.kunkel321 wrote:xtra points to Kilmatead for having the GSI*, you're having way too much fun with that resource editor!!!

It should... I'm using Win7, and as far as I know it's out of development (except for the recent update to add x64 resources) - it's been the basis of free resource editors for ages. Every now and then it kicks up a fuss for the odd bitmap or so (editing skins on Classic Shell requires deft footwork), but it's a fun toy.kunkel321 wrote:BTW, do you know if that editor will work on Vista? The download page doesn't list Vista...
I should add that one of its most useful aspects is changing the default font size for application windows which default too small (for larger LCD's) and offer no means of changing them. Whoever the idiot was who decided all applications should default to Verdana 8pt should be hanged, drawn, and quartered. (Then served into bite-size pieces with itsy bitsy 8pt stems of parsley for garnishing panache.)
